Birləşmiş Millətlər Təşkilatının Dünya Meteorologiya Komitəsi (WMO) 2017-ci ilin qeydə alınan ən isti 3 il arasında yer aldığını bildirib.

Milli.Az xəbər verir ki, komitə tərəfindən verilən yazılı açıqlamada bildirilib ki, isti hava dalğaları, quraqlıq, qasırğalar və sel basqınları Yer kürəsinin isinməsinə yüksək təsir göstərib. Karbon-dioksidin artması və dəniz səviyyəsinin yüksəlməsi, həmçinin, okean sularında turşu miqdarının artması iqlim dəyişikliyinin uzun müddətli işarələri kimi göstərilib.

Şimali Buz dənizindəki buz faizi ortalama səviyyənin altında qalıb və daha öncə sabit olan Antraktida dəniz buzu səviyyəsi isə rekord səviyyədə eniş edib.

WMO-nun katibi Petter Talas verdiyi açıqlamada bu hadisələrin əksəriyyətinə insan fəaliyyətindən qaynaqlanan istixana qazlarının kəskinliyinin səbəb olduğunu bildirib.

Qeyd edək ki, meteorologiya komitəsi 2016-cı ilin bütün dünyada bu günədək qeydə alınan ən isti il olduğunu elan edib.
